What Allo knows
Everything Allo keeps about your company and about you, on one page you can read, change and delete.
About your company: its name, what it sells in its own words, its trade, the trades your accounts are in (from the customer type in your order history), its branches, and the save playbook. Owners and managers change what you sell and your trade here; the save playbook is changed by the owner on its own page.
About you: your name, which signs your drafts, and your role, which decides what Allo can read and propose for you. Then your preferences: the tone of the emails Allo drafts for you (friendly, direct or formal), their length (short, standard or detailed), a sign-off to end them with, and, for owners and managers, a default assignee who gets accounts when you ask Allo to move them without naming anyone.
Allo saves a preference only when you tell it to, for example "remember I like short drafts", and only after you confirm it on a card, which has Undo. It says which preference it used when it matters: a draft that follows your saved tone says so, and a plan that uses your default assignee says so before anything moves. Delete a preference here and Allo stops using it from your next message.
A preference is a fixed choice, a teammate, or a few plain words, never an instruction: a sign-off that reads like an offer the playbook does not allow is left out of the draft. Your accounts, orders, follow-ups and drafts are not kept: Allo reads them fresh each time, with your own access, and in a chat it reads only that chat's earlier messages.
- Where
- Settings, What Allo knows. Ask Allo "what do you know about me" and it answers from the same page, with the link.
- Who
- Everyone who uses Allo. Owners and managers change the company part; each person changes only their own preferences. The import role does not use Allo.
