It handles order entry, quoting, pricing, purchasing, receiving, and the general ledger from one connected set of records.
For a distributor, Eclipse is the backbone. It is where an order becomes a shipment, where margin is calculated, and where the history of every account lives. Nothing about that is a knock on the product. A strong system of record is exactly what a distributor needs to run the business.
What it tracks well
Eclipse keeps a precise record of what was sold, to whom, at what price, and when it shipped. You can pull a sales-history report for any customer and see every line they have bought. That data is accurate, complete, and the foundation everything else builds on.
Where reorder timing sits
An ERP records the past. It is not built to watch the calendar and surface which of three hundred accounts has quietly drifted past its usual reorder window today. A history report tells you what happened; it does not rank who a rep should call before they run short.
